• The Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office is interested in professional and highly motivated individuals for a full-time Deputy position. Duties and responsibilities include enforcing state and local laws; taking calls for service; patrolling business districts and residential neighborhoods to deter and detect crime; investigate complaints; citing and/or arresting law violators; following up on pending reports and cases; serving civil process; protecting person and/or property.
  Type: Full Time
  Salary: Starting pay for this position is $19.00/hour with a .50 cent shift differential. Pay will be determined based on experience. The Sheriff’s Office has an excellent benefits package.
  Minimum qualifications: At least 21 years of age, US Citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain valid Kansas driver’s license, and no felony or major misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must be able to live and work in a rural community, pass thorough background investigation, drug screening, medical evaluation, and psychological evaluation.
